Great Destinations in the Southwestern United States, Sedona

The Southwestern United States has a great deal of amazing destinations with one perhaps standing out as purely magical, even spiritual to some. It's a setting among towering monoliths and babbling brooks, with amazing resorts and amenities.
Sedona, Arizona, often called "Red Rock Country", located about 100 miles north of Phoenix has captured the imagination of many. If you are looking for a meeting or location away from the hustle and bustle of the city, featuring world-class resorts and amenities, gorgeous nature, adventure and culture, Sedona may be the place to be.

The town is surrounded by soaring pillars of red rock named Coffeepot, Cathedral and Thunder Mountain. Oak Creek Canyon on the north side of town features beautiful nature, soaring cliffs and charming Bed and Breakfasts. Check out the Briar Patch Inn. Sedona is perhaps not the place to have a large convention; it however offers a wide variety of venues able to host many types of events and numbers of guests. We've compiled a list of properties below. A full list can be found at the Sedona Tourism Bureau website, also a great resource for activities.

And your meeting or event should not be all business. Sedona's year-round beauty and temperate weather is conductive to an array of outdoor activities. You can discover hidden canyons and red rock trails, even visit Sedona's vortexes. Yes you read that right! The red rocks can be pure ecstasy for mountain bikers and hikers, with trails for all levels of experience. The town offers a marvelous array of world-class art galleries, shopping, annual festivals and events. Be sure to check out Tlaquepaque, an Arts & Crafts Village, nestled beneath the shade of the sycamores on the banks of beautiful Oak Creek in Sedona. Golfers will delight in the championship courses around town.
Getting to Sedona is easy. You can book a flight and land at one of the most picturesque airports in the country, or consider flying into Phoenix and drive to Sedona taking State Route 179, designated as an All American Highway for its scenic beauty.
